My work is grounded in improvisation, emphasizing the discovery of meaning through the interplay between various disciplines, including visual arts, movement, architecture, and human behavior. I frequently experiment with the emotions that emerge during my day-to-day experiences of living. My drawings present innate human feelings and gestures that are universal and authentic to all, regardless of sex, class, or caste.
FLUID ART, EXPLORING LINES BY KHANUJA Neeta
→ CV
Positive & Negative - Mediating within the spaces created by the lines, these art works explore the formation of gestures and emergence of emotions using simple forms and lines.
COLLECTIONS
Improvisation - Explored as a process when the artist becomes a medium and meditates over the flowing lines to let it have the agency to communicate the message that opens multiple interpretations.
Augmentation - Augmenting the real and the imagined as lines overlap and flow between the spaces emerged from the snapshot of the real world.
CONTRIBUTION & COLLABORATION
A journey to materialize our expressions, to celebrate local artists and to empower local economy. In my recent work I focus on how embroidery and patchwork can be manifested within the constraints of black and white and how one can map the ephemeral nature and temporality of improvisation on slow and patient format of sewing.
Molding the artworks in to brass and silver jewelry to create a signature series of pendants. An initiative to empower local artists and support local economy.
EXPERIMENTATION
Any surface can be a canvas while experimenting with materials like wood, air-dry clay, 3D printing.
EXPRESSION
Movement art explorations that combine the flow of the body with the flow of the lines and vice versa. Navigating the volume within the space, the body becomes an instrument to create forms to express emotions and narrate a story.
